We wanted to make a separate post for this to make it easier to find. With all the digital offerings out right now, this production can be used as a foundational structure and style. Dancing Monkey is going to continue to explore this platform, even when we can re-engage with live audiences. We will construct every future show as a hybrid. By ‘hybrid’, we mean the performances will be both attended by audiences in the space, and live-streamed simultaneously. Building on the work achieved with LIKE TOM CRUISE LOVES RUNNING, we will treat the audience watching via the livestream with equal focus by having multiple moving cameras engaging with the performers on stage. The cinematographer for TOM CRUISE, Tim Nguyen, called the camera a 5th wall.
