Upcoming Staged Readings of 'AFTER MOURNING'

Following a very successful premiere presentation at Glenbow Museum, AFTER MOURNING, a play about Johanna Bonger, the woman who saved van Gogh’s art for the world, will have two staged readings in the coming months.

January 19th in Red Deer, Alberta, by the Red Deer Players. The reading will take place at 12:00 noon in the Snell Auditorium at the Red Deer Public Library.

February 8th, The Art Studio in Beaumont, Texas will host the U.S. premiere directed by Elayne LeTraunik, who previously worked with Mike Czuba when she produced a full production of his play “Satie et Cocteau” in Chicago.

The play continues to gain interest and is currently being hustled aggressively.

“…there is much that we admired in the script…the fluid structure, the heartfelt exploration of the bonds between the characters and, perhaps most importantly, the introduction to a woman who seems to me to have been lost to history” Bob White – Stratford Theatre Festival

“Overall our readers felt that this was a moving and visually evocative script. Each character was authentic and sympathetic” Steven Debose – Austin Film Festival
